If my rbc in urine is high, it can be usually caused by a problem with the urinary tract, although systemic diseases can also manifest with blood in the urine. Hematuria\u00a0is divided into glomerular and non-glomerular hematuria to help in evaluation and management.<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Genitourinary mucosal injury by instrumentation<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0Trauma<\/p>\n

\u00b7 Bleeding tendency: thrombocytopenia, coagulopathy, use of blood thinners, hematological disorders like sickle cell anemia (2<\/a>)<\/p>\n

– using a scope to remove kidney stones<\/p>\n

– medication, such as alpha-blockers or 5-alpha reductase inhibitors, if an enlarged prostate is causing your hematuria (4<\/a>)<\/p>\n

Red Blood Cells<\/strong><\/p>\n

Red Blood Cells (RBCs) are the functional component of blood responsible for the transportation of gases and nutrients throughout the human body (1<\/a>). The presence of red blood cells in the urine, which is medically termed hematuria, is not typical. It\u2019s usually a sign of an underlying health issue.<\/p>\n

There are two types of hematuria; gross and microscopic. Gross hematuria occurs when a person can see the blood in their urine. But microscopic one refers\u00a0to the condition in which a person cannot see the blood in the urine, despite the fact that RBCs are present (2<\/a>,3<\/a>).<\/p>\n
